Animal Crossing New Horizons Campsite is a place you can create that will give visiting villagers a spot to arrive on your island.
After doing so, you can get them to live in your town or just trade with them, or maybe even hold a little conversation.

Animal Crossing New Horizons Campsite
To get the campsite you have to first upgrade the Resident Services Tent into the Town Hall.
The Evil Emperor Tom Nook will then have an assignment to increase your town’s popularity to catch a certain someone’s attention. Then you will have to build the campsite.
To build the Campground Construction Kit, you need 15 of each type of wood, to go along with 15 Iron Nuggets, and then place the kit down in an area that becomes the campsite.
After that, the fun begins as villagers will start appearing time and time again at the campsite. Make sure to visit it and make your town vibrant with new faces.
