Benjamin Wittrock Car Accident: Sauk Rapids man killed in 4-vehicle crash on I-94 in Albertville.
A four-vehicle collision near Albertville on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the death of a Sauk Rapids man and the injuries of a Minnetonka woman.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened on Interstate 94 shortly after 3 p.m.
According to reports, three SUVs were traveling slowly in the left lane on the westbound side of the freeway when Benjamin Wittrock, 43, was driving a Kia Optima when it struck them.
Wittrock died instantly upon impact. According to the state police, he was not using his seat belt. A 73-year-old woman who was one of the other drivers was injured, but she is expected to survive.
The other five occupants in the car were not injured.
Investigation is ongoing.
