In August 2008, Chris joined Sirius XM Radio and operates his own channel, Mad Dog Radio. Additionally, Russo serves as the host of an afternoon radio show, Mad Dog Unleashed, on SiriusXM Ch. 82 Mad Dog Sports Radio.
His Sirius XM deal also included the daily hosting of an MLB Network TV show, High Heat. The show was simulcasted on MLB Network Radio and started on March 31, 2014. Russo signed a new three-year contract, in September 2016 and renewed it for more years, in April 2019.
