During her time at KSDK-TV, she actively covered Michel Brown’s death and traveled to Geneva, Switzerland to cover Brown’s parents’ testimony before the United Nations Committee Against Torture. Christina was also the first journalist to arrive on the scene of the riot, just days after an armed teen was shot and killed.
Her career began after graduating from Texas A&M University and later signing a contract as a reporter with KIMO-TV, an ABC affiliate station in Anchorage, Alaska. She had the opportunity to interview then-Governor and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin as well as participate in the station’s evening newscasts while at the station.
She also worked as a local correspondent for KABB-TV FOX 66 and WOAI-TV NBC 25. Christina was the San Antonio Chapter’s Vice President and a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
