Gene and his fellow broadcast journalist Dave Briggs served for Boston television stations as sportscasters. After graduating from Emerson College with a broadcast journalism degree, He launched his career by serving in Norfolk, Massachusetts at the WJCC-AM radio station.
Besides that, Gene has also served in more than 110 communities across the Bay State for The Independence 5k Walk and Run which supports programs for adults and children with developmental disabilities, The Buddy Walk, and Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress as a spokesperson. He was named by the Friends of St. Patrick organization in 2012 for his community work in Walpole as a “Person of the Year”.
