Help, give some recomendations of Dark Fantasy TTRPG

I don't see the system and setting meshing. Midnight is about battling against incredible odds, a LotR where Sauron got the One Ring.

But 5e is about building super-powered PCs. Not a good fit.

How about we wait and see the final result before judging? Cubicle 7 stripped down many of the "superpowers" from their Adventures in Middle-Earth 5E classes, perhaps Edge will do the same for Midnight 5e.

Time will tell.

EDIT: At the very least, the OP can borrow the elements of Midnight that they like. The lore is grim enough.
