You can also lock the child's profile so that they can't switch to another profile unless they have the PIN.

How to Create a Kid Profile on HBO Max

It's worth noting that you can't apply parental control to a regular profile. Instead, you'll need to create a Kid profile beforehand, which is pretty straightforward. Whether you're using your smartphone or your desktop, all you need to do is follow these steps:

Open the HBO Max app or go to the HBO Max website.
Tap the profile icon in the bottom-right corner on mobile, or click your profile in the top-right corner on desktop.
Select switch profiles.
Select + Kid to create a kid profile.
Enter the name of the profile. You can also choose a profile picture and the background color.
Enter the birthdate.
Select Next.
Now, you'll need to choose the maximum ratings that the kid profile can watch. You can also choose to require a PIN to switch profiles. Don't worry; you can change this later if you want.
You may need to enter a PIN so your child can't switch to other profiles.

How to Lock a Kid Profile in HBO Max

When you create a kid profile, you can lock it so your kids won't be able to switch profiles without entering a PIN. If you didn't enable it at first, however, you can change these settings later too.

How to Change the Content Rating for a Kid Profile
