Jodi Applegate Career
Jodi currently works as an evening anchor for WPIX after being hired on October 11, 2010. She began her broadcasting career in the early 1990s as a host for C-SPAN. There, she hosted “Close Up,” a weekly public affairs program featuring a high school student audience.
Later she left the station to work as a radio and television traffic reporter for Metro Traffic in San Francisco. She worked in Phoenix from 1993 to 1996 as a host of Good Morning Arizona, which aired on KTVK-TV. He has also worked as an anchor at KTVN in Nevada. When she was hired as the network’s news anchor in 1996, she made her first appearance at the station.
On the main NBC network, she primarily hosted MSNBC “Live” and Weekend Today. She also worked as a stand-in host for the Today show. She co-hosted “Later Today” with Asha Blake and Florence Henderson in 1999. Jodi relocated to Boston in mid-2001 and was hired as an anchor at WFXT-TV.
She moved to New York City in October 2004 after anchoring at the station for two years. She worked at WNYW from 2005 to 2008, where she co-anchored Good Day New York. She began working as a fill-in anchor for WCBS radio in 2009. Jodi, on the other hand, joined News 12 Long Island in September 2009 as an evening co-anchor.
