Jon Meyer is a journalist and news anchor currently working with Julie Sidoni since the year 2003 at WNEP-TV and anchors Newswatch 16 at 5 and 5:30. In June 2003, Meyer began Newswatch 16. Previously, Jon Meyer served in Johnstown at the WJAC-TV  station as a weekend anchor and news reporter. Jon Meyer was a key attack on America to WJAC’s coverage of September 11, 2001.

The United Airlines Flight 93 from Johnstown in Somerset County crashed only 20 miles. Meyer was at the crash site as the number one reporter. Jon followed the issue extensively that followed for weeks and months. Mayer’s experiences covering and accounts of the crash appeared in many books on its aftermath September 11.
