Joshua Michael Peifer, 39, of Elizabethtown, PA, passed away at home unexpectedly on Friday, February 9, 2024 after a courageous four year battle with multiple critical health issues. You are now free of the pain and strife you were living with, and for that our dear child we are thankful despite our broken hearts. Knowing we will all be together again in Heaven is how our hearts will mend.
Born in Harrisburg a few days shy of Christmas, “Josh” was the son of John & Kelly Di Giulio (Peifer). He was the most treasured Gift from God that Christmas & his life and memory we will forever cherish and carry in our hearts always.
Josh followed in his fathers’ footsteps as most of his siblings did by working at the family business in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida as an Insulation Installer. His work life came to a close in 2019 when his health caused him to be unable to work any longer. He was a “Simple Man” who loved his family & Friends with all of his heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his children and his niece; Faith & nephew; Kaleb – all of course who loved him to pieces & are absolutely heartbroken from this loss. He was an avid fan of The Miami Dolphins & Michael Jordan. When he was healthy he also enjoyed golfing, four wheeling, bowling, and billiards. He attended The Maytown Church of God, and was a member of Dela Ches Fishing Association and The American Legion – Post 329.
In addition to his parents, Josh is survived by his children who his love for was immeasurable; Nickolette Girup of Virginia, Joshua Peifer Jr., Jovan Peifer, and Jayla Peifer of Florida and his siblings Justin Peifer of Elizabethtown, John Di Giulio Jr., Nick Di Giulio, & Devon Di Giulio of Florida. He was recently preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Kenneth R. (Kainer) Peifer of Elizabethtown, and his Paternal Uncle, Michael Di Giulio of Ft.Lauderdale, both in 2022.
A memorial service honoring Josh’s life will be held at Maytown Church of God, 10 West Elizabeth Street, Maytown, PA 17550 on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11 AM. Family and friends will be received at the church before the service from 10 AM to 11 AM. Interment will be at a later date & private to family.
A second Service will be held in Ft. Lauderdale area for his Florida Family & Friends approximately the second week of March. A steadfast date and location have not yet been determined.
