An 82-year-old woman was killed in a head-on collision with another driver in Delray Beach on Friday afternoon, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Beverlee Bearman-Reiter, of Boynton Beach, was traveling south on Jog Road when she began to turn left at the intersection with Morikami Park Road around 1:30 p.m., according to a Sheriff’s Office crash report. As she turned, her Fiat drove into the path of Scott Florent, 30, of Boca Raton, who was driving his Lexus north in the center lane of Jog Road. The front of Florent’s car crashed into the front of Bearman-Reiter’s.
Bearman-Reiter was transported to Delray Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead shortly after. Florent received minor injuries.
