MIRAMAR — Need a way to get rid of those old refrigerators, televisions, carpets, furniture and other household items that have been lying around the house?
Here’s your chance. A citywide bulk trash pickup is scheduled for May 7, 8, and 9.
Residents must place items on the curb in front of the house the night before regularly scheduled trash pickup.
Browning-Ferris Industries, the city’s trash hauler, asks that bulk items be separated from regular garbage and away from trees or poles. Doors should also be removed from old refrigerators.
Yard clippings and tree trimmings must be placed in a container or bundled and tied. Bundles should be no longer than 40 inches and no heavier than 50 pounds.
The hauler will not accept construction and demolition debris, roofing materials, hazardous materials or car parts.
