Overwatch Fan Outlines Intricate Theory About "God Program" Working with Talon

During the stream, Kaplan acknowledged YouTuber dinoflask and gave him some special words to work with in his next parody video. The words were "Orca, Killer Whale, Gratuitous." Karahe suggests it was a clue, explaining that the last letter of each word spells A R E S.

Delving into Greek mythology, Karahe hypothesized that based on the lore and on things found in Ilios, Talon might have Ares, the "evil" equivalent of Athena, as an AI system or perhaps Ares is the next hero to be announced.

Karahe noticed these butterflies flying around in Ilios that look exactly like a real species of butterfly called Papilio Ulysses. Thinking that this is a hint toward Ulysses of Homer's Odyssey, Karahe pointed out more references to the story found in Overwatch.

"I'm really convinced we'll soon have a new hero based on the greek mythology, and it's very likely this hero will be heavily based on Ulysses/Odysseus and his accomplishments," Karahe wrote. "A man with nothing but his wits (and technological affinities...it's Overwatch after all) to survive in a war between Gods."

@ohnickel I personally believe the theory for hero 27 that i came up with makes Sense
I believe that Ray is Ray Liao and is in fact an undercover agent for Talon and has a created a god program called Ares in secrecy to steal intelligence on overwatch. i have evidence too, msg me

Overwatch is no stranger to fan theories, and it's widely known that the Overwatch team indulges in releasing hints and clues for fans to obsess over. Whether Karahe's theory is correct or not, it's hard to ignore the connections.
