Are you, like all of us, in need of a night out with friends or your partner? The Paramount Hudson Valley Theater in Peekskill is a local gem with a long history and captivating atmosphere.
This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to round up a great group of women to jump right into a night of nostalgia. Larger than Life, credited with being "America's #1 Boyband Experience, performed more than 50 of the 90s most memorable boyband hits. Their nonstop energy was contagious, and people of all ages danced and sang along. The acoustics were impressive and a true credit to the thoughtful design of the theater.
Taking in an event at The Paramount is ideal for suburbanites and parents as the ease of the evening can't be beat. Not only is there free parking locally after 6 p.m., and a conveniently located parking garage, but the Peekskill train station is also within walking distance offering so many options. There are plenty of spots with varied cuisine options to grab pre-show dinner and drinks and none of the fuss of heading into the city. My husband and I have had a few date nights at The Paramount this year and each time we remind ourselves that we really ought to get out more.

- The Paramount is not only a landmark venue within Westchester County, but it is also a New York state and National Registers of Historic Places
- The Paramount is operated by an organization with heart - Paramount Hudson Valley Arts (PHVA) is a not-for-profit arts organization with a mission "to provide quality performing arts and arts education programs to the diverse and under-served community of Peekskill and northern Westchester County."
