Pokémon Direct, baby! Nintendo of America announced Tuesday it plans to broadcast another Nintendo Direct on Wednesday. In celebration of Pokémon Day, this Direct will focus exclusively on Pokémon. Here's everything you need to know about the Direct.
Pokémon Direct Expectations
Wednesday's Pokemon-centric Nintendo Direct is set to begin at 9 a.m. ET and last about seven minutes. Fans will be able to watch the proceedings live on the Nintendo site or on YouTube.
It appears most likely Nintendo will reveal new information about its upcoming core series installment, which the company has perviously stated is on the way to the Nintendo Switch at some point this year. That game is expected to introduce the eighth generation of pocket monsters to the world, and will be the first new release in the series since Pokémon Sun and Moon hit the 3DS in 2016.
It's also possible Nintendo will reveal a non-core Pokémon game or a remake of a classic from the franchise. Would-be Pokémon trainers will want to tune in to find out.
