Run for office before? If so, where, when:
Yes, I ran for Boynton Beach City Commission, District 4, won and was re-elected.
Why you’re running for this office:
On the Commission, I have made it a priority to lead with transparency, ensure residents have a voice and that our city is supporting our local small businesses. I have been on a listening tour across our city meeting with residents, community, civic, and business leaders to hear their issues and how we can work together for our shared goals. Boynton Beach is on the rise and I have the experience, leadership and vision to keep our city moving forward.
If you chose to run against an incumbent, why have you done so?
This is an open seat.
Describe your city and/or your district as you would to someone who has never visited.
Boynton Beach is the third largest city is Palm Beach County and is key to the future of the region. It is a coastal community with beautiful parks, waterfront activities, a growing downtown, and flouring with small and medium sized businesses. It’s a great place to raise a family and build a future.
What are the top three issues facing your city or district?
ü COVID-19
ü ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ü BUDGET & TAXES
ü PUBLIC SAFETY
ü MOBILITY AND TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS
ü PARKS AND OPEN SPACE
ü PROTECTING OUR NATURAL RESOURCES & ENVIRONMENT
How would you assess the performance of city government, what grade would you give city government, and why?
I would give the City government performance an A during my time on the commission, because we have focused on issues that matter to our city such as economic development, keeping a balanced budget, increasing public safety, and we have done all this during a pandemic that has affected every one in our city.
Is there anything you want us to know about your opponent(s)?
I have three opponents in this race and all three are unqualified for office. One has been rejected by voters in the past and said no to cutting taxes. And the remaining two have multiple arrests and criminal history along with records of hateful and bigoted statements. I am the only candidate with experience on the City Commission and is ready to move this city forward.
Is there anything about yourself that we didn’t ask about that would embarrass you if an opponent found out?
No
Why should voters vote for you?
Voters should vote for me because I am the only candidate ready to serve day one with experience managing a city budget, endorsed by our first responders, community organizations and local elected leaders. I have a plan to move Boynton Beach forward and am the only qualified candidate for the job.
