Resident Evil 2 Chess Plugs: How to Solve Puzzle

Solving the Resident Evil 2 chess plug puzzle requires each and every chess plug piece. There are pieces for the pawn, the bishop, the rook, the knight, the queen, and the king. Players should find the pieces as they move through the area, usually plugged into the wall at various locations.

Once you have all six chess plugs, head to the area with the item box and the six vacant plug slots. There will be a note on the wall giving a hint as to how to arrange the pieces.

Place the knight and pawn in their labeled locations. Then place the rook left of the knight and the bishop left of the rook. On the opposing wall, insert the queen left of the pawn and the king left of the queen.

Placing all six plugs correctly will unlock the door, allowing you to continue on your quest.
