Restaurants, Food and Drink | SMALL BITES: Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro double teams pizza with Mister O1

This is “Small Bites,” a South Florida Sun Sentinel feature with tiny tidbits on the food and beverage scene — because we know that sometimes you just don’t have room for a long article. You want a little news brief instead, an amuse bouche of information, if you will. Enjoy!

WHAT:

Big baller Tyler Herro stepped off the court and into the kitchen to come up with a Boy Wonder Pizza, now available at Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza eateries in South Florida.

The star-shaped (of course — what else would it be?) pizza is made with ricotta cheese, Italian tomato sauce, burrata cheese, spicy salami calabrese, natural honey, basil and black pepper

The Boy Wonder Pizza is available for dine-in and takeout at the Boca Raton, Aventura, Brickell, South Beach, Coconut Grove and Wynwood locations (sorry Fort Lauderdale and Pembroke Pines).

The Miami Heatster — at least for now amid trade rumors — gets a portion of the proceeds for his nonprofit the T. Herro Foundation, which helps provide resources and opportunities for young people.

WHEN:

The limited-time menu item is available through Aug. 14.

COST:

The Boy Wonder Pizza is $18.99 plus tax.
