Riot Games is Working on a Tooltips Update for League of Legends

Riot Games is working on a tooltips update for League of Legends.

In a recent post on the League of Legends boards, the Riot Games employee Reinboom made a post saying that they aim to change that. At first, they thought it would be daunting because they would have to find a good balance of not too much and just the right amount, as well as changing it in every language.

To start their change, they needed to find the right amount of information to add that gives players good statistics as well as basic information. Their first idea on this was to make something similar to the new rune information. This means that there would be basic information, such as damage and effects, in the first tooltip and additional information with a [Shift] click.

They wanted to be sure to add in leveling cooldowns and scaling AD and AP ratios so that players can know what they want to level up first, how much mana it will cost, and how much damage they can do before mitigation.

Riot Games admitted that since these changes have to be perfectly nuanced, it will take some time for these changes to be complete. However, they said that to start making changes and getting feedback, they will make tests on new champions and reworks that will be released on the PTR. They have already started with Aatrox and ask players to leave feedback on what direction they should head in.
