One of my favourite books is Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl. The story is about a clever fox who steals food from three wicked farmers to feed his family.
Mr Fox is my favourite character because he is smart and brave.
In the book, the angry farmers surround Mr Fox’s den and search for him by digging in the dirt. Mr Fox and all the other animals stuck underground began starving because they lost their homes and had no food. But Mr Fox continued digging and eventually made a tunnel into the farmers’ food storage.
In the end, the three farmers remained outside the hole waiting to catch the animals while Mr Fox and his friends found a way to stay hidden without starving.
From this story, I learned to work with others and to never give up. When the animals were stuck, they never stopped trying and worked as a team to find a solution. I think we should all learn from this story.
