Broward County’s five parks with campgrounds, including Markham Park in Sunrise, will be offering special discounts to troops.
From Nov. 11 to 13, active duty and honorably discharged veterans of the US Armed Forces, National Guard and reserve units will receive 25 percent off campground fees at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, Easterlin Park in Oakland Park, Markham Park in Sunrise, Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, and T.Y. Park in Hollywood. Personal identification and written documentation will be required.
Tricounty residents will only be charged $22.50 per night, per site and non-tricounty residents will be charged $30 per night, per site. Quiet Waters Park will be the only one with a flat rate of $26.25. Rates are for up to four campers and pet registration fees apply.
