Scavenger hunt takes participants through downtown Delray

Make your way through Delray Beach while deciphering clues during this year’s “Seek in the City” scavenger hunt.

Seekers will check in at Elks Lodge, 265 NE Fourth Ave., Delray Beach, at 2 p.m. July 30. The event begins at 3 p.m., and participants must be back at the Elks Lodge by 6 p.m.

Each team will be given 50 clues to decipher and locate during the hunt. The team with the most points accumulated will win.

This year’s theme is storybook characters. Teams dressed within the theme will be able to compete in a costume contest.

To participate in “Seek in the City,” teams must have a car, a phone with a ScanLife QR code reader installed, a driver with a valid driver’s license and a team captain.

The event is hosted by Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce Charities. Money raised through the event will raise money for education initiatives in the city.

“For us at the Chamber, it’s important that we partner with our educators and city leaders to ensure that our young students are encouraged to pursue and enjoy their educations so they can contribute to Delray Beach jobs and our quality of life here in years to come,” said Karen Granger, Chamber CEO and president.

Sponsors and partners include SM Digital Partners, Delray Beach Marketing Cooperative, Studio B2 and Delray Beach Elks Lodge 1770.

Registration is $150 for a team of up to five players.
