Introduction :
Shally Zomorodi is a well-known journalist & anchor working in the San Diego area. She is often referred to as the face of Fox 5 Morning News.
Personal Life, Parents and Family Details :
- Shally’s parents are originally from Rasht, Iran. She has one brother. The Zomorodi family moved to the US in pursuit of better prospects.
- Zomorodi met her husband Bruce Joon while in college. He proposed to her in 1999, and they married a few years later, in September 2005.
- Bruce has been quoted as saying that Shally brings out the best in him thanks to her sunny nature, and he never stood a chance when he met her because everyone just falls in love with her.
- They have four children together, two sons and a daughter. Their kids names are Arshia, Arshan, Shyla, and Shayden.
- Shally has said that she is grateful for her daughter, or else she would be completely outnumbered on everything in her house.

- In 2001, Shally graduated from California State University with a degree in Political Science and Journalism, with high honors.
- She was described by her professors as being a pleasure to teach, due to her keen desire to learn.
- Initially she began Law School after completing her degree, but then she applied for Miss Orange County competition that set her on a different path.
Early Career Start :
- During her studies, Shally was crowned Miss Orange Country & from there she went on to compete in Miss California competition.
- Unfortunately, she was not successful in that round, but she did receive a journalistic award after her skills were recognized during the interview section of the competitor.
- One of her prizes that came with the journalistic award was to be shown around a network studio.
- It was during this tour that she came across the network’s staff, and after a conversation, she walked away with an internship for their network.
- This was the beginning of what has since been a very successful career for her.
Professional Career, Salary and Net Worth :
- Before moving to the Fox 5 team, she had previously worked as a reporter for City View Channel 5, covering human interest and whatever else they needed.
- From there she went to work as a video journalist for The Voice of America Foundation foundation, however, that was short lived.
- It was after that she joined the Fox 5 team, and she now appears on the Fox 5 San Diego Morning News programme, every weekday from weekday from 4.30am to 9am.

- Shally has stated that her personal interests include cooking, playing with her kids, belly dancing, beach picnics, family games, and playing with her 2 dogs.
- Her guilty pleasures are wine and chocolate. She has said that those two things could fix any problem she may ever have.
- Languages : She is fluent in the Farsi language having learnt it from a young age. She is also conversational in Spanish, although she is studying to improve that.
- She did not take a big break & even presented news programs when she was pregnant.
