One of the top young players in South Florida committed to an in-state team on Monday.
St. Thomas Aquinas 2021 defensive lineman Tyreak Sapp committed to the Florida Gators, announcing the decision on his Twitter account.
Sapp is rated as a four-star defensive end by 247Sports. The site ranks him as the No. 7 strong-side defensive end and the No. 83 overall prospect in the 2021 class.
Sapp was a South Florida Sun Sentinel second-team All-County pick this year after notching 26 tackles, including five for loss, and four sacks on a deep Raiders defense.
Sapp also holds offers from Louisville, Miami, Oklahoma and more.
