Season 8 of Fortnite has finally arrived and has delivered players tons of new content. Season 8 has brought multiple new points-of-interest, one of which is Sunny Steps. Here are three things you need to know about Sunny Steps.
Sunny Steps Replaces Wailing Woods
Wailing Woods, one of the oldest locations on the Fortnite Map, is no more. Sunny Steps is now located where the Wailing Woods used to be. The area surrounding Sunny Steps still has plenty of trees that are suitable for harvesting wood, so it is overall an upgrade for the upper-right corner of the map.
Wailing Woods fans, do not weep. Your favorite landing spot just got a fantastic set of buildings (with good loot) dropped right in the center of it.
Sunny Steps is a Spiritual Successor to Tomato Temple
Tomato Temple was also removed with Season 8 of Fortnite. However, Sunny Steps is in many ways an upgrade of Tomato Temple. Sunny Steps features multiple full-size pyramids with lots of loot inside. The pyramids are more intricately designed and present a more complete theme to the location.
We will miss the Tomato Temple, but it was clearly a sub-par landing zone. The loot was too far spread out and it wasn’t very visually interesting. Sunny Steps fixes both of those issues and is an excellent addition to the Fortnite map.
Sunny Steps is Going to Be a Hot Drop
Because the Sunny Steps are a new point-of-interest location in Fortnite Season 8, a lot of players are going to want to land there and check it out. The Sunny Steps also offer great loot spawns, so this location is likely to be very popular throughout Season 8.
If you are going to land at the Sunny Steps, prepare for conflict.
