This is “Small Bites,” a South Florida Sun Sentinel feature with tiny tidbits on the food and beverage scene — because we know that sometimes you just don’t have room for a long article. You want a little news brief instead, an amuse bouche of information, if you will. Enjoy!
WHAT:
The Green Market Pompano Beach — with its signature array of scratch-made foods, artisan crafts and fun activities — is back with a bit of a scheduling twist.
The grand opening with Pompano Beach Mayor Rex Hardin cutting the ribbon took place on Saturday, Nov. 11, then the market returns on the second Saturday of the following month, on Dec. 9.
But in 2024, it will move to its traditional second and fourth Saturdays of each month through April 27.
This will be the 21st anniversary for the market, which is presented by the Pompano Beach Historical Society in partnership with the City of Pompano Beach.
In addition to shopping for fruits, vegetables, juices, baked goods, locally-produced honey, seafood and other food items, visitors will also find plants, health-related products and handmade crafts.
