What do llamas eat in Minecraft is something newer players might be wondering as they continue to build their worlds.
Over the years, Minecraft has become increasingly known for its variety of animals implemented into the world. Llamas were added to the game in July 2016 after a brief poll questioning whether llamas or alpacas should become the next animal introduced. Clearly, the llamas won out.
In the current build of the game, players can find llamas in dry, arid biomes such as the desert and savanna. They can spawn in groups of ten and, when one is tamed, can be led together in a caravan.
Much like any other potentially-domesticated animal mob, llamas will become increasingly friendly to the player when fed. They still need to be ridden in order to be tamed fully, however, and don't accept saddles. Therefore, the only way to encourage them to move is with a lead.

What do Llamas Eat in Minecraft?
Llamas can eat both wheat and hay bales. This makes sense, as hay bales are essentially just multiple wheat bundles crafted together.
To tame a llama, players need to ride it continually until it gives off hearts. Mechanically, this means that the llama's temper trait has risen high enough that it passes over the "tame" threshold.
Temper can be increased by several attempts at riding or by feeding it. Single bundles of wheat will increase temper value by 3 while hay bales will increase it by 6. Hay bales will also activate breeding in llamas.
