When is the Grau nerf in Warzone is something fans are wondering after it was teased by developer Joe Cecot.
The Grau 5.56 is arguably the best assault rifle in Warzone next to the M4A1. The assault rifle brings high damage and accuracy at all ranges with popular variants including Toasted and Rocker Box. Fans have called for the weapon to get nerfed because of how strong it is in the current meta. Paired with a sub-machine gun or sniper rifle, the Grau stands out as better than almost, if not all other weapons in the game.
We have a batch of weapon tuning in the works for the mid season update. Patch notes will outline when they drop :)

When is the Grau Nerf in Warzone?
Joe Cecot responded to a tweet asking if the Grau is going to get nerfed in Warzone. "We have a batch of weapon tuning in the works for the mid season update. Patch notes will outline when they drop," Cecot said.
More or less, Cecot hinted at a nerf to the Grau. It would be odd for Infinity Ward to not nerf the Grau after responding to a tweet about nerfing the weapon specifically. Reducing the weapon's damage or accuracy would open up the playing field for other weapons to see usage in the Call of Duty battle royale.
If a Grau nerf does come, it'll be during the mid-season update. When exactly the Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 mid-season update is remains unknown. The update is also expected to add the Rytec AMR sniper rifle giving players another option outside of the AX-50 and HDR.
