Is Rihanna leaving Savage X Fenty? No, Rihanna won’t be stepping out of the picture entirely. Instead, she’ll take on the role of executive chair. “It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years. This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer,” she shared in a statement.
Who is Hillary Super?
Hillary Super is the new CEO of Savage X Fenty, the lingerie brand co-owned by music star Rihanna and investors including LVMH. Rihanna has held the position since she founded the lingerie brand in 2018.
Super is the former Chief Executive Officer of Urbn US Retail LLC/PA and was appointed back in 2018. Urbn is a portfolio of global consumer brands comprised of urban outfitters, anthropologie, free people, bhldn, terrain and the vetri family.
Born on June 20, she currently lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and she studied B.A. Humanities at the University of Southern California.
At Anthropologie, Hillary led all aspects of the business including the omni-channel transformation of a $1.6B brand. During that time digital demand surpassed $1B, AnthroLiving grew to just under $500M, A+ by Anthropologie was launched (plus sizes) and the brand expanded internationally, per Fortyover40.
Prior to that she was a senior executive at a high-growth start up in the luxury resort retail space, according to Intro.co. She has also held senior leadership roles at American Eagle Outfitters, Old Navy, and Guess. Hillary was an executive coach and advises CEOs of early to mid-stage consumer brands.
Super is among those at the forefront of the battle to disrupt the decline of retail in America, a vital industry for women who are a majority of the retail workforce ( a sector which accounts for 10% of jobs in the U.S.) and drive close to 70% of retail purchasing. Her goal is to revitalize the retail experience to attract the next generation and to foster a broader range of opportunities for women.
Before Fenty, Super moved to mentor fashion entrepreneurs through her role as an advisor with venture capital group, LDR Ventures.
