Wild Rift Broken Blades event: How to unlock Irelia & Riven for free

A new event is coming to League of Legends: Wild Rift called Broken Blades. Plenty of rewards are on offer, including the ability to unlock the newly-released Irelia and Riven for free. Here’s how you can take advantage of it.

Wild Rift patch 2.3 is launching on June 1 with a big event celebrating two of the game’s newest releases.

Irelia and Riven are joining the mobile MOBA roster from League of Legends, and they’ll be reforging their Broken Blades in the upcoming event.

Here’s what you need to know about the Broken Blades event, including how you can unlock Irelia and Riven for free when they launch in Wild Rift.

Wild Rift Broken Blades event missions

There are two separate paths for Irelia and Riven, depending on who’s journey you decide to follow. You have to finish the missions in order, as they unlock one after the other.

You can find their respective missions below. Once you finish one champion’s mission line, you can choose to do the other one. However, you will only earn 200 Poro Coins and 1000 Blue Motes for completing the second path.

Irelia missions

Effortless Grace	Play five games, or as Irelia, use Bladesurge to dash to three different enemy champions within five seconds	Fury of the Blade Icon

The Ancient Foe	As a team, kill Baron Nashor two times	150 Blue Motes
The Storm, and the Sword	Play five games, or as Riven, get a takedown on an enemy champion that was recently hit with Wind Slash	Fury of the Blade icon

How to unlock Irelia & Riven for free

As we outlined above, you can earn a bunch of rewards in the Wild Rift Broken Blades event. From poses to baubles, there’s plenty on offer. However, the big ones are the Riven and Irelia champion unlocks.

You can unlock one of the champions for free by completing the Level 5 mission on each of their paths. You can only choose one, so pick wisely between unlocking Irelia or Riven.
